Pain management by ultrasound

One treatment method that the medical device sonodyn®Medico Star uses for pain management, pain treatment and rehabilitation is low-energy ultrasound. Medical devices transfer vibrations to the tissue at the molecular level through ultrasound, causing a micromassage and secondary microcurrents as a result of the mechanical stimulation or vibration. The resulting frictional heat has a positive effect on the microcirculation and in turn on the blood circulation. This stimulates the metabolism. Application for pain management

Before the application of sonodyn®Medico Star for pain management, pain treatment and rehabilitation, it is necessary to localise the areas to be treated based on the pain symptoms. The treatment points for pain management, pain treatment and rehabilitation may lie within (local) or outside (peripheral or central) the pain zones. Treatment with this medical device is advantageous on the so called trigger points, i.e. overstimulated points that may refer pain.
Hold the sonodyn®Medico Star in one place or move it slowly in circles during the 10-minute treatment period. After several applications (3-4 times per day is recommended) the trigger points are inactivated with resultant pain management, pain treatment, pain reduction and rehabilitation. Continue the treatment with this medical device over a number of days as required. Application of the gel enables direct contact to be made, i.e. the gel facilitates the passage of the ultrasound into the tissue.

Indication for the medical device
